Sam,
	I imagine you were sleepy when you replied but I was comparing 
the resistance's of the two types of wire.  The current didn't change so
the heat only increased proportionally to the resistance. ( i * i * R) For
short 
intervals ( < 10 minutes) I don't see why this wouldn't work and so far
it has worked.
