Re: wether or not to mess with repotting NSTs

I heard about a useful technique.  You must heat them just enough to melt
the tar, then shake them.  This will remove any carbon tunnels (a major
cause of NST failure).  Do them one at at time, wrap them in foil and put
them on a cookie sheet, so the tar doesn't seep into your oven (a major
cause of marriage failure) and heat for several hours to 200 degrees. 
Gently twist and turn the NST. If the tar doesn't slosh, then go to 250,
then 300 degrees.  Once the tar sloshes, gently twist and turn for awhile
so as to fill in the carbon tunnel, let it sit in the oven some more,
slosh some more, etc.  Then allow it to cool overnight and try it out.
