possible spark gap ?

Anyone thought of using flo-tubes as a gap.  I treid a few in series and it
ran fine( but not enough gap for coil operation ( not enough tubes ))

Each tube being 240V, a load of them in series coul give you a 10Kv gap.  It
would burn up the phosfate ( spell ? ) in the tube, and get hot so you would
have to put them in oil.  But I think that this would give nice smooth gap
and slove a few runnning probelsm.

Thoughts ?
