"The resonant tuned circuit allowed receivers to essentially amplify
the received signal to a useable level. Useable even without tubes or
transistors. Pretty neat stuff!!!"
	A resonant circuit CAN'T amplify a signal at all!  It can be
used for impedance matching, however.
