At my school, which has several campuses in the state system, there have been *many* recent phishing attempts, which quite a few employees fell for. Their email systems were compromised and floods of spam went out from the accounts that had given the phishers their credentials. We were blocked on many domains because of that, and we had to get our email "reputation" back before we could be unblocked.
I am guessing that some members of the list fell for the same thing, which caused these domains to be spammed from the list, which resulted in the email blocking. It's just going to take some time to get unblocked, once the spamming stops. I don't know if it's possible to request being unblocked, and if spam is still coming in from the list, they probably won't. A forum would eliminate the entire issue.
