Related some, making sure any capacitor completely discharged, just right

And, they are cheap enough, you could buy a spare.  Sort of like getting an extra DMM in case you blow one up.

You've inspired me to go drag out my small TC and measure it.

What might be interesting for TC work is to design a specialised TC measurement tool,
