Hello Jan, Very nice web page. Too bad that you can't take a jack hammer to that roof to make it taller! Ha ha. I have a question about your horn gap. I have a horn gap on my 6.5 KVA pig-powered coil but I have always wondered what the correct gap spacing should be. I initially set it using the 3 KV/mm rule of thumb but I found that it was firing too often so I set it a little wider. The coil has been running successfully with this setting for about 6 hours of run time so far. I always thought that the small diameter (about 3 mm) of my brass safety gap rods was was causing it to fire prematurely since I think that the 3 KV/mm rule is for flat plates and not small-diameter rods. What gap spacing do you use?
