Jan,
The biggest issue would not be damage to your lights, but everything else
connected to the circuit...iPad, TV, stereo, coffee maker. I recently
destroyed a battery trickle charger for my truck. As a side note, Tesla
burned down his New York lab due to streamers hitting wooden structure, so
you may also want to assess the risk of fire in a smaller operating space
and prepare.
