Hello Steve, I got most of the parts for my 8.6" pig-powered coil back in the early 2000s. I got a 10 KVA pole pig from T&R for $275 back when they would sell to private individuals. I got a great 8" x 30" spun aluminum toroid for $275 from a group buy arranged by D.C. Cox. The rest I got from E-Bay, surplus stores, dumpsters or made myself. It took me a while to put it all together since I was working at the time and my interest waxed and waned. The coil has been running for about 2 years now and puts out 8-foot streamers on 4.8 KVA. Now that I am retired, I can finish such projects much more quickly. I've been lurking since the Richard Quick days when we called this "Chip's list". Built a few coils back then and was a member of the TCBA. Had to work for a living and now that I'm retired I have the time to play. I have filed most of the posts since the "old" days in my hard drive but still enjoy reading the comments. Bought a pole pig back in the T&R days and am just now getting ready to start on a 10" coil. Bought a G-10 RSG disk from Bill Wysock and got in on a "list-buy" for a huge spun torroid. Have most all the parts, just need to get them together at one location and build. In the mean time I just listen and learn. :-) steve-seattle _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
