Hello all, I have spent the last few months tinkering with design parameters for Bipolar coils and thought I would pass along 3 that work well.
1. 5kv 10ma NST
secondary coil form = 2.5” Dia. 9 inches ot AWG28
MMC = 3.45nf X 30KV
Primary = 1/4” copper 6 inch dia. helical w/ 4 turns
Top loads = 2- 1.875 inch Dia. brass doorknobs
2. 6kv 30ma NST
secondary coil form = 2.425 Dia. 15 inches AWG 26
MMC + 15nf 20kv
Primary = 1/4” copper 6” Dia helical 6 turns
Top loads = 2 sets of 8 large canning lid toroid's topped with the 1.875” brass doorknobs
3. 12kv 30ma NST
secondary coil form 3.250 inches 12 inches AWG 24
MMC = 15nf X 30kv
primary = 1/4” copper 8.5 inch helical w/ 10 turns
top loads = 2 – 2.5” X 9” toroid’s
