Re: [TCML] Voltage multiplier
It is true that a spice model is nice and works well for a variety of things. I actually did that last night and got a decent model working.
Sometimes it is also nice to be able to use math to predict the right area to start looking in, to produce that model.
I actually derived the equations today while I was bored at work, Still stuck on simplifying the regulation voltage for capacitors of different values in different stages. But Ill figure it out eventually.
Learned more about the multipliers playing with a few equations than I did reading about them on various web sites.

I agree. Voltage multipliers, unless they have lossless rectifiers and
enormous capacitors, aren't really amenable to 'pencil and paper
analysis'. I have had quite a bit of experience that and while
simulations work find calculations just don't cut the ice.
