Tesla coil discharges generally do not show well in slow motion.  Here is my coil @ 240 fps:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYn-4vQCtXs The problem is that the output is not continuous. 5000fps would just capture a streamer slowly appearing and disappearing.  Would be interesting to see though... If you could rig a camera somehow to sync the frame rate with the primary's break rate, then maybe you can get a decent video. -JJ On Wednesday, November 27, 2013 6:33 AM, Nigel Stanford <nigel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hello there, I'm trying to put together a video shoot on the weekend of the 14/15th of December. I'm looking to hire someone with a large coil that can be transported to the New York area, preferably one that can be controlled on and off from a computer with accurate timing. A faraday suit would also be useful. We are wanting to shoot the coil with a high speed camera, at 5,000 frames per second. This has never been done to my knowledge, and should look pretty cool! If anyone can help out, please get back to me. Many thanks!
