ASCII art is futile over plain text email.  Different clients will likely
use different fonts so while it may render fine on Arial, it won't using a
monospace font like the list archives.

Sending an HTML email using a monospace font may have worked but the list
doesn't support html emails.  I would just link to an image.  imgur.com is
a free image host.

Oh and it's good to see a fellow cheesehead on the list :)
