Tuning tuning tuning.
Take all the appropriate measurements accurately, and then simulate your 
design with JavaTC.  If you have modeled your coil correctly,  it will 
give you a tuning setting that will be very close to what you need.
I have used it for several years now, on about 8 different coils of 
varying power and size, and it has never failed me.
