Here's another picture of my stupidity.
This is a 37667 all blowed up during my trying to get my first DR coil working.   This one, I think I can safely say, died due to overcurrent/switching.

After seeing Dave Leddon's DR, I decided I might be better off emulating someone who actually knew what he was doing, and switched to using banks of those Aerovox RBPS snubber caps.

Never had a problem with those at any power input level I could muster ...
