Re: [TCML] connecting tubes to make primary
Hi James,
Yes, you can easily splice two or more lengths of
copper tubing together. However, you need a bet-
ter "splice" than just taping the two ends together
with aluminum tape. You will need to solder the
ends together, either with a short piece of copper
wire or cable that just fits inside the pipe or a cop-
per pipe extension splice that fits over the outside
of the pipe ends. The pipe extension pieces can be
found in the same section of the building supply/
hardware store that you got your pipe at.

Subject: [TCML] connecting tubes to make primary
Hello. I have two packages of 25ft flexible 1/4 inch copper tubing.
Is it wise to connect them together with aluminum tape to make the 50 feet
of tubing that I need for my primary?
Are connections ok to have in a primary coil? Or should the wire be
constant.
Thanks!
