You know you only need a HV probe to measure between the C and L node on the primary. This is assuming you are using a DR. If this is the case the you can test on ether of the outputs of the bridge.

In the case of a SGTC you would need a HV probe. I have seen many on ebay for modest price. If you do buy one get a capacitive divider type probe.
