[TCML] Copper Foil Primary Connections

While browsing tc pages today, I noticed one of the pages had made an NST based rotary spark gap tc and had used 1" wide copper foil to connect up the primary tank connections. Does anyone have any thoughts (or personal experiences) on whether copper foil is a good choice for primary connections as opposed to heavy wire?
