Re: [TCML] SRSG question
A cheap adjustable strobe light (party store variety) has worked great for me.
You can see the entire range of phase adjustment clear as day with the
naked eye, in a stop-motion sense.
But alas, you cannot tell if you will hit the sweet spot until you run the coil.
I lucked out on my first try and hit it exactly at "10" on the Variac dial.
I think the odds of it falling in the proper range off the bat are
actually pretty good, like 1 in 4, or better if you have a lot of
adjustment.
