RE: [TCML] Corona Supression
But then again don't underestimate 15kv either. It is a high enough
voltage to have some strange and illogical properties. I've had a carbon
arc burn from the insulated terminal on my capacitor, (which was
apparently too close to the wall of my wooden enclosure) almost over to
the nst, which was a good 12 inches away. Weirdest thing I've ever seen.
It was apparently traveling via corona from the insulated terminal to
the wood of my enclosure (about 1/4") and yet still had enough juice to
create a carbon arc.

I agree. If you're only running 15kV, there won't be much corona - not
enough to worry about anyhows unless you have components sitting real
close to each other.

Run your coil in the dark. You'll see the corona.
Actually, I think you're worrying too much about corona. At 15 kV sorts
of levels, there isn't much, unless you've got needle points or
something like that.
