Hi, Erm...my coil puts out a lot of O3. Maybe it's defective. I run it in my garage, doing my best not to disturb my neighbors. If I run it for any longer than a minute with the doors closed the place smells like the YMCA pool (or a massive lightning storm has just gone by). I have to open the door to air things out. I have retired for the evening on more than one night with sore lungs. Psychosomatic? Dunno.
If you can smell it, you are past the point at which OSHA considers it harmful. If you are at the point where you have sore lungs, you defnintely owe it to yourself to cobble up a ventilation system which places you between the intake and the source of the gasses.
High voltage is not the only danger involved with Tesla Coils, or any other high-voltage hobby.
