RE: [TCML] Slightly OT, best semiconductor cross-reference sites



Yup, found that, thanks.  I don't know for sure if that's the exact part since the left side is burned and a bit bulged out, but I would bet it's good enough for a simple battery charger.  And I don't want to pay $8 shipping for a 44 cent part, either, when I probably have a usable part sitting around here.  I was going to look up the data sheets for the samples I got from them a while back (back when they used to just ship whatever you asked for) and see if any are PNPs with similar characteristics.  

It's a Deltran Battery Tender, and the transistor has no real heat sink, just bolted to the steel case with an insulator and some heat sink compound.  I could open up my other unit to see if the whole number is readable, I suppose...  When I replace it I'll add a small aluminum heat sink between the case and trans.

But I am really looking for what everyone considers to be good cross-reference sites for all the various projects people like us do!
