If I remember correctly, it's not necessary to use unequally spaced electrodes
to get equal bang sizes at 200 bps.  

I've done various experiments with unequally spaced electrodes but I didn't generally
obtain longer sparks for a given input power.

Okay thats it - I have read about unequal spaced electrodes. And Finn did it 

even with 300bps I think. My bigger SRSG is built like Finn's and allows me 

to set unevenly spaced electrodes. But in the smaller SRSG I am actually 

working with, the 4 stationary electrodes are 90 degrees apart fixed. Okay 

than I will simply do trial and error for achiving highest brightness / 

longest sparks.

200bps mainly because I love the sound more than with 100bps ;-)
