Re: [TCML] measuring frequencies and high voltages
I have two HV probes available. One has a 1/4" plug and the other has a
standard bannan plug. They are both unmarked as to maker but I am selling
them for a friend who used them in his TV repair business and they both work
fine. They are 1000:1 ratio and they look exactly like the pictures of the
Fluke probes you see on eBay all of the time. If interested, please write me
off list. Thanks.

I've built my DC pulse generator. I have a nice green LED coming off it.
My big question now is, how do I know if it is a pulsed or constant
signal? I don't have an oscilloscope and only a very basic meter.
Similarly, how do I measure high voltages when my meter only reaches 500v?
Build yourself a voltage divider or buy yourself a suitable HV probe.
The Fluke HV probes are available used, although you want to make sure
the 1000 Meg resistor inside isn't cracked, and that the probe is
otherwise good.
Brand new they're about $150
