[TCML] VTTC not working
Hold a fluorescent bulb near by. If it's oscillating, the fluorescent
will glow even if it's bad out of tune. If it's not oscillating, switch
the tickler coil wires. You will have to choose a value for the plate
cap that tunes the primary slightly below the frequency of the
secondary. Scott Coppersmith (WinTesla)had a very handy program for
figuring out your Tesla coil. Bart's program (JavaTC)is no slouch
either. Use one of these programs to figure the frequency of the
secondary coil with your topload. Then input your primary specs and see
what value cap the program spits out. That will get you into the
ballpark. James
