Dr. R,

Yes, I have a couple of extra transformers that "could" be
modified by removing a significant portion of the secondary
winding to get down to the 4 to 5 kV range - a 25 kVA 
rated 14,400 volt pig and a 10 or 15 kVA? rated 20 kV
dry core bombarder. However, I am not interested in 
messing up either of these nice transformers by tearing
out 3/4 of their secondary windings. What would you
need to get  for your 3000 volt, 1.1 amp plate transformer?
