I used to buy mine new at Graingers before they went electronic for about
$45.00, now if I need one it's ebay. If you "cook" one and remove the core
from the tar and run it in oil, it will run a long time. I install mine in
old HV paper capacitor/oil cap cans and reuse the HV bushings for the
output, and 5-way binding posts for primary connections. Fill them with
mineral (baby) oil and a overpressure vent and so far the can run hard for
many years. I use them on 2" x 10" secondarys with .005 uF poly caps making
10 to 12" streamers using copper pipe static gaps.
