Re: [TCML] re-pot



Just plug it in to 120 Volts and let 'er go. It will limit it's own output  
current to what's on the nameplate, and draw about 20% more primary current, 
but  won't hurt it. Normally, a NST can withstand a shorted secondary a lot 
better  than an open secondary for long periods of time. 
 
Of course, you may be unpotting it because it already has an internally  
shorted secondary. Just ground both terminals anyway and see if it will get warm  
after an hour or two. Might also set it out in the hot sun while it's powered  
up, maybe even paint it flat black first?
