IIRC home depot/lowes sell these threaded copper connectors, i believe in
the section with all of the grounding hardware, with a nut on them.  They
are shaped sort of like this: n.  I bent one of these to fit over 0.25"
copper tubing and it never got warm on a 12kv/90ma coil.
