RE: [TCML] pole pig ballasting
Hello,
Don't get this reversed or it will be your last mistake!
One way to test it is to apply 120volts to the High Voltage, tall, LARGE
insulators on TOP and measure the voltage on the 240 low volt outer
connections on the side. Divide 120 by this voltage and that is the ~turns
ratio. If you have 2 volts the ratio is 60 and it is a 14,400v if it is 4
volts it's a 7200v. Simply by multipling 240 by the turns ratio you know the
high voltage IE: 60*240=14400

I hope it isn't 7200v. I haven't tested it yet. The nameplate says primary
volts 12470, secondary 277/480y. So what is it guys 7200 or 12470?
