Re: [TCML] Sphere Topload Coil

Hi David,

Increased pressure increases the breakdown voltage and the air flow of course aids cooling. Along with the cooling, surface to air thermal dissipation further enhances the gaps power handling. So, I would agree that if a multi segment gap was pressurized similarly, good things are sure to come about.

also, wouldnt a combo of both be better ? ( multipal gaps /vacume ) ?? I bet that single gap is much louder than many small gaps ??
I would like to try another style of static gap, as my attempt on a rotary on this coil didnt work to well.................> From: jpeakall@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tesla@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [TCML] Sphere Topload Coil> Date: Thu, 21 Feb 2008 11:49:39 -0800> CC: > > I found a night and day difference between a pipe gap and a hyperbaric gap > on my small coil.
