Re: [TCML] Table Saw Blades for Phenolic LE
Dan -
Use a zero rake-angle blade for the best finish and no tearout of the fiber
reinforcement.
Freud Tools make very high quality carbide blades, and they have a special
blade designed specifically for plastics. Not cheap, but provides a very
high quality cut along with long life.
See www.freudtools
Select "products", "saw blades", then click "industrial blades". Way down at
the bottom you will see the LU-94 series blades for plastic.
Their SD500 "Super Dado" set also is very useful for plastics work, and
allows adjustment of kerf width in 1/32" increments. Don't try to use a
"wobble dado" on plastics; cut quality is hideous.

Scott Hanson

Subject: [TCML] Table Saw Blades for Phenolic LE
Anyone have experience with cutting LE Phenolic on a table saw. Looking
for a blade recommendation for nice clean cuts.
Just acquired a truckload of this stuff from a surplus auction and
probably going to be building lots of stuff with it!
Thanks
Dan
