Well, "I" don't really notice any light dimming when I
draw these arcs but other residents of my home have
happened to mention this ;^) BTW, those dark sun-
glasses that I'm wearing are not to look cool. Expe-
rience has taught me that the arc is bright enough to
casue "welder's flash" eye pain when the arc is viewed
with unshielded eyes! I'm actually pretty lucky with my
electrical service, as the 50 kVA padmount transformer
that supplies my home (and several neighbors' homes)
is directly across the two lane cove from my house
(<100 ft. run) and my feed for my "toys" is right next
to my mains load center breaker box.
