Re: [TCML] mmc cap protection by spark-gaps-any ideas?
These caps are charged with 2 kV (or more) direct current for testing. This
also applies to larger caps.
After discharging they are boxed for shipment, and due to dielectric
relaxation, they may recharge their plates in the box. To prevent this they
are all short-circuited prior to shipment.
