If that pic didn't work the HV section is on this page; http://www.rmcybernetics.com/science/high_voltage/tesla.htmIf I remove C1 the spark gap fires and it is loud ish, if I put C1 into place The firing gets louder but I also get arcing across the terminals of the Cap effectively shorting it out.
At the moment I dont have my secondary or topload connected as that is an outside job for the RF ground and it is raining :-(
I have been working on this project for nearly a year on and off but recently it seems to have been progressing a lot quicker than I was prepared for, hence the questions to you guys.
Thanks again for your help Simon On 13 Aug 2008, at 19:41, Chip Atkinson wrote:
It depends on what you mean by "fire". I'm also assuming you are puttinga jumper in place of the cap.If by fire you mean crackly snappy sparks across the gap, no. You'll seearcing but it'll be quiet. If you need more information on my Tesla coil I can send it later Thanks in advance for your help Simon -- Simon Dodd Director/ Technical Manager Yes Boss Music 46a Theydon Road London E5 9NA UK simon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.yesbossmusic.com _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla_______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
