Use a surplus 20 to 30 rpm Bodine gearmotor. Fair Radio Sales, Lima, OH
or C&H Surplus Sales, Pasadena, CA, or A.R.E. Reclamation Electronics
(Arizona Reclamation Electronics) in Phoenix. Make jig between two
sawhorses. Use 1/2 pipe and hardware store pipe flanges on each end of your
3/4 inch plywood disk.
I've been using the same 28 rpm Bodine for nearly 35 years and we still use
it to wind all of our coils. We added a footswitch for convenience --- also
available at the surplus houses.
