Why is this so sad?
I'm not really up on the  technology being presented, but what evidence
is there to show this is  nonsense?

Hi Dan,
 There is about 5 hours worth of reading on this in the List's  archives for 
the last 30 or so days.
The main complaint is that it is 100-year-old, highly  inefficient technology 
being presented and awarded, as a new,  high-efficiency breakthrough.
