I think I have decided to possibly steer away from the mots and instead use
an nst because of the lower output current for safety. Does anyone see this
causing problems with the previously mentioned capacitor setup?

Hi Clive,

The higher the tank voltage, the more likely it is that one or more bottles
will fail after awhile. However, as cheap and easy to replace as bottles are,
this should not be a problem. Just try to be consistent in bottle size, shape
and type, and fill each bottle to same level. This keeps capacitance fairly
steady as you make replacements.you might want to float some oil on the top
of each bottle and the bucket to keep down corona.

Good Luck!

Matt D.
