I spent a pleasant Sunday morning at the San Mateo Fair Grounds visiting
with Greg Leyh who gave me tour of his latest creation.
A shot of the controller. I was really impressed by the neatness and
compactness of Greg's setup. All you have is the controller and the two
coils. Greg connected everything together, turned it on and it worked
flawlessly.

Close up of the controller. Notice the phase control which allows the
relative firing phase between the coils to be varied from 0 to 180 degrees.

Greg making connection to the base of one of the coils. This shot gives a
good sense of the coil height which is about 10-feet.

Greg and John Dyer untangle some of the diagnostic cables. John had a coil
and Van de Graaff Generator setup over in one of the other buildings.

A shot of the coils in action. Unfortunately I did a lousy job of
capturing any good arc shots probably due to the mercury-vapor lights overhead.
