I have a head start on that. I have turned a piece of electrical grade
polyester to make a balanced hub with a .125 thoriated tungsten rod (I hope
not to hear about the "dangers" of thorium again from the group) as the
propeller. It's set with Allen head set screws and spins perfectly. The
enclosure is acrylic plastic with a lexan face, for safety, and the motor
will eventually be mounted to .250 electrical grade fiberglass sheet. I'm at
the point that I need to build some kind of motor mount for the thing. I've
see many designs for the mount but I'm not sure at this point what to make.
I must be able to be adjustable to set the phase and that's my newest
problem. Any advice?
Tony

I would recommend the "propeller gap" configuration over a conventional
disk. Propeller gaps are well-suited to low powered motors and are much
easier to construct. Mine is documented at
http://www.laushaus.com/tesla/sync_gap.htm, and Terry Blake's is at
http://tb3.com/tesla/sparkgaps/index.html
