Hi Todd,
The action of the spark gap closing the circuit will cause
the GFI to immediately trip. I think some list members
have mentioned being able to bypass or defeat the GFI
to make the transformer useful for a coil, but unless you
can resolve this issue, a GFI'd NST is basically useless
for a Tesla coil.
