You must use non-GFI xmfrs. Neon sign xmfrs with the GFI built in
always cause the GFI to "trip" and shuts your coil down. Sometimes
you can open the top lid on the metal box and bypass the GFIs and in
some xmfrs they pot it inside so you can't bypass the GFI.

Since joining this forum I've noticed that everyone is always
looking for a NON-GFI NST to power their coils. Is this an absolute
must? Why can't you use one with a GFI?
