This list grew in membership and respect because it kept its
focus very specific: Solid engineering advice and development.
Perhaps the time has come to once again define the mission of this
list. Is it:
a) to promote the art and science of safe Tesla Coil Building? (As
it once was)
b) to promote any and all of Tesla's devices? (Thermomagnetic
engines, bladeless turbines,etc.)
c) to promote any and all high voltage devices? (Lifters, rail guns,
lasers, fusion devices, etc.)
d) to speculate endlessly on anything that Tesla was claimed to have
done, or thought of doing or was interested in?
(UFOs, Free Energy, Time travel, Teleportation, Interdimensional
Travel, Fuelless cars, etc.)
e) to proselytize the gospel of the prophet Tesla, who is not dead
but gone to a higher resonance?
f) Something else.
IMO, the further away from (a) we get, the more it becomes like the
speculative groups.

I believe that when this topic comes up, as it does every year (like
crabgrass) it needs to be simply explained that it was one of "the
Maestro's" boo-boos, that it never has worked because known,
verifiable, scientific principles are against it, and then move on.
Those who wish to speculate and believe in the face of all evidence
should be gently redirected to the groups that feed on speculation
and "tabloid science" .
