Re: Wireless Power Transmission

"Hidetsugu Yagi attempted

energy transfer in February of 1926 with this antenna. Yagi and Uda
published their first report on the wave projector directional
antenna. Yagi managed to demonstrate a proof of concept, but the
engineering problems proved to be more onerous than conventional systems."
I think is a misunderstanding of what he actually did. His
papers include measurements of antenna patterns with current in the
receiving antenna shown but this was not an attempt to transfer power
in the same concept that Tesla proposed. He was experimented
with numerous configurations of high gain antennas (called them
"Wave Canals") and his designs are very popular unto this day.
