50kV would pack quite a whollup!! If they are identical, and you
cannot measure any continuity between the primary and secondary
windings, it would seem that you could easily connect the primaries
in reverse phase, and connect the secondaries for +/- 25kV. I don't
even know why you'd need to ground the midpoint, but I would see why
you couldn't

Has anyone ever grounded one leg of a PT before? I
know lots of folks have done this with their pigs
(myself included). I'd like to run them in series for
50 kV out, but would hate to kill them.
