Convertor to or from three-phase power. They often used enclosed
motors for that purpose.

I don't recognize the actual blue unit pictured, but the white label
is describing a three phase industrial motor. TEFC stands for
"Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled", and I don't see anything that looks
like an output shaft on it. It also mentions 1750 RPM and ball
bearing, also attributes of a motor, not a transformer.
The label says it weighs 475 pounds, so I'm gonna bet that the white
label photo doesn't pertain to the actual unit offered. The image
probably came from another of the seller's auctions.
Just checked -- yep -- the same seller is offering GENERAL ELECTRIC
5KE286BC205B 30 HP MOTOR, NEW Item number: 200099062527, which has
the same part number as listed on the white label.
Therefore, the white label is for the a different auction.
Looks like an awesome transformer. Would be useful to see more
details on the black nameplate.
