I can assure you that one report that you might have received off list of a
recent meeting that addressed the subject of the wireless transmission of
electrical energy IS true.  This is the First Tesla Museum and Science
Center Conference on Nikola Tesla which was held on October 6-8 in
Brookhaven Township.  See www.ntmsc.org for photos of the event. Those who
were in attendance with additional photos are invited to add them to the
online album.

Demonstrations of wireless transmission using both the primitive Hertz wave
apparatus and a Tesla coil RF transmitter and Tesla receiving transformer
were made.  I am painfully aware that the latter demonstration was not as
satisfactory as it could have been, but the diminutive incandescent lamp was
illuminated nonetheless.

The Second Tesla Museum and Science Center Conference on Nikola Tesla is
tentatively scheduled for October 2008 at a location yet to be determined on
Eastern Long Island.  A call for papers will be posted on the TMSC
Conference Series website 6 months in advance of the event.
