Re: New project

Hi Phillip,

There is a Yahoo group just for UK coilers:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tcbouklist/

They have a site here:

http://www.tcbouk.org.uk/

They would certainly know all about getting parts in the UK. Many of them are on this list too.

Richie has a great site with general info:

http://www.richieburnett.co.uk/tesla.shtml

http://www.richieburnett.co.uk/parts.html#schematic

Neon sign transformers are a little hard to get in the UK and hard to ship over since they are heavy. But the local guys over there will know all the tricks ;-))

Cheers,

        Terry

Hi

I am an engineering student at Brunel University, West London. I have just
started the electronic society and want to build a Tesla Coil as one of the
projects for the year. Any suggestions as to where I can get good 'simple'
schematics and more importantly where I can pick up parts to build one ie a
toroid and a neon sign transformer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Phillip
