I don't get the 160 amp bypass. Mine's only rated for
50 amps at some duty cycle. Or are you talking about
160 amps on the "welding" side? Even so, mine doesn't
have any kind of bypass.

I'm not sure why they drew it this way. Seems more
complicated than necessary, but maybe they had space
limitations for their schematic. It's all on the same
core and has two welding leads.

I posted this last weekend. It's a little more clear
than Lincoln's, though I show my secondaries shorted.
You're technically correct regarding turns ratios, but
I chose to show mine like this, since there were so
many secondary taps, it would look ridiculous if I
were to show ten times as many (I think it's 240/24
volts or so) on the primary side.
