I'll save this Jewel. So, if I'm not too tired, we can ignore the reactor
@160 and above amps. Are all three winding on the same core? Or separate? My
Miller "infinite adjustment" was a little more simple. Is there a three wire
output on the "s" version?. I have an old one with two.

The main point here is that the primary is 3 times the windings or so and
the secondary has mongo 1/3 windings to produce high current. Shorting the
output above 160 amps bypasses the reactor and allows the most current to
flow to the pig. So... Chips drawing is reversed, Yes?... though the
resistor should stay with the flop.

I am now using a dry pig with a slide reactor. A rocker switch moves a
surplus satellite actuator. Much cleaner! And almost infinite adjustment
again with no handles to crank.
